03 Privacy
The plugin sends a heartbeat when you type: a timestamp, the language, the file extension, the project folder name, the branch, the editor and whether you saved. For AI agents it sends token counts, the model and the time, read from the agent’s logs on your machine. Never file contents, file paths, prompts, replies or keystrokes.
One heartbeat, exactly as sent

05 FAQ
Stint stores small numbers, not code. A year of heartbeats for one developer fits in a few megabytes, so running it costs very little.
No. The extension sends at most one heartbeat per file every two minutes, batches them and uploads in the background.
Heartbeats queue on disk and sync the next time you’re online. Nothing is lost on a flight.
Yes. Export your heartbeats from WakaTime (or Wakapi), drop the file into Settings › Data, and it keeps the original timestamps. Days Stint already tracked are left alone.
Any time, from Settings. Deleting your account removes every heartbeat at once, not after a grace period.
